19-year-old NEET aspirant from MP gang-raped by 3 men in UP’s Chitrakoot: Police

A 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Satna, Madhya Pradesh was gang-raped by three men in Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot district.

The woman had recently moved to Chitrakoot from Kota, Rajasthan, where she was preparing for the NEET exam.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at Devangana Valley after she and a 17-year-old friend were followed into a forested area.

Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh stated the accused also demanded money and threatened the victims before fleeing.

An FIR was registered under section 70 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (gang rape); two suspects have been detained.
