Cleaning continues in C Delhi, normalcy returns to markets

NDMC cleared 62 tonnes of waste between Saturday night and Sunday morning in Central Delhi, exceeding normal area contribution.

Over 500 NDMC officers and employees participated in cleaning, pressure washing, removing graffiti, repainting walls, and repairing kerbstones and footpaths.

Restoration included use of one excavator, two trucks, seven pressure jetting machines, and eight auto tippers.

Protest slogans such as 'Inquilab Zindabad' were removed and walls repainted at the Jantar Mantar site.

Nearby markets including Connaught Place, Palika Bazaar, and Janpath returned to normal operating hours with restored internet and Metro services.
