PMC says birth and death registration services functioning normally

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) confirmed birth and death registration services are functioning normally across all ward offices.

Standing committee chairman Shrinath Bhimale stated that no disruption has occurred in processing new applications or issuing certificates.

PMC is migrating records prior to 2019 from the old system to the civil registration system (CRS) as per central and state guidelines.

Citizens needing certificates based on older records must submit documents at ward offices for approval by district registrar and health officer.

Requests for permissible corrections in certificates, such as spelling mistakes, are handled by deputy registrars and ward medical officers.
