in5points
  1. A leak in the Munak Carrier Lined Channel (CLC) canal caused water supply cuts for 48 to 72 hours in parts of Delhi.

  2. Affected areas include Rohini, Dwarka, Palam, Uttam Nagar, Hari Nagar, Avantika, Naraina, Nangloi, and Burari.

  3. The CLC canal's inflow dropped from 719 cusecs to 92 cusecs, reducing combined inflow to 531 cusecs against the normal 1,158 cusecs.

  4. Production at Haiderpur, Dwarka, Bawana, and Nangloi water treatment plants was affected, leading to supply cuts.

  5. The Delhi Jal Board repaired the leak on Friday night, but water supply restoration was delayed as the distribution system stabilized.
