Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe suspends Parsi Dairy Farm licence

Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe intensified crackdown on food safety violations since taking charge on May 25.

FDA suspended the licence of Parsi Dairy Farm and seized food products worth over ₹1.90 crore in statewide raids.

In 30 days, the drive resulted in 360 raids, 235 FIRs, 350 arrests, and 274 illegal units sealed.

Mundhe, a 2005-batch IAS officer, has had 25 transfers in 21 years, making him one of Maharashtra's most frequently transferred bureaucrats.

FDA ordered a total market recall of Aciloc 150 and Aciloc 300 over deceptive labelling, seizing stocks worth ₹2.45 crore.
