India's S-400 targeted Pakistani AWACS during Op Sindoor
in5points
India's S-400 reportedly downed a Pakistani AWACS at 300 km during Operation Sindoor, the largest recorded surface-to-air kill.
Retired IAF S-400 operator Sgt. Bhale Singh described the AWACS detecting the interceptor, attempting evasive maneuvers, and flying deeper into Pakistan before being hit.
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh confirmed the engagement and said it raises questions about the survivability of airborne early warning aircraft.
Pakistan has not publicly corroborated the claim.
