Woman killed as construction lift collapses at Rohini building site

A 46-year-old woman named Manju died after a construction lift collapsed on her in Rohini, Delhi.

The incident occurred at an under-construction building in Jain Nagar, Rohini on July 19, 2026.

Police registered an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sahita for safety negligence.

Initial probe found inadequate safety measures at the construction site.

Manju is survived by her husband and three children; the family had moved from Aligarh four months ago.
