Akhil Akkineni recalls hand accident after film success

Akhil Akkineni suffered a freak hand accident during a holiday with his then-fiance after slipping on glass in the bathroom.

The accident occurred in about 3 seconds and left him doubting whether his hand would fully recover for six months.

Akhil Akkineni's hand has not regained 100% strength compared to his right hand but is now fully functional.

His father Nagarjuna had previously spoken about how the accident changed Akhil's future.

Akhil Akkineni returned with the film 'Lenin', which became his highest-grossing film after a three-year break and underwhelming response to 'Agent'.
