Justin Greaves scored an unbeaten 64 to steer West Indies to 239-5 at stumps on a rain-shortened opening day of the second Test against Pakistan in Trinidad.

Greaves' sixth-wicket partnership with Roston Chase (36 not out) was worth 66 runs at the close of play.

Pakistan dropped Mohammad Abbas, their best bowler from the first Test, despite a match haul of eight for 85.

Pacer Ubaid Shah took his first Test wicket, dismissing Amir Jangoo with a leg-side catch.

Greaves survived a dropped catch by Babar Azam off Sajid Khan just after reaching his fifty.
