Nashik: Cyber Police Register Fresh Cases In Child Sexual Abuse Material Crackdown Based On NCRB Data

Nashik City Cyber Police registered new cases against suspects involved in sharing child sexual abuse material, based on data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) monitors social media, the dark web, and URLs for obscene content involving minors and shares IP addresses with India's NCRB.
Cases are registered under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Section 67(B) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Section 15 of the POCSO Act, 2012.
In the last 2 years, over 70 individuals were identified and 42 cases registered by Nashik Cyber Police in this crackdown.
Citizens are urged to report suspicious content via the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in) or the nearest Cyber Police station.
