22-year-old former kabaddi player shot dead in Shamli

Mohana alias Monu, a 22-year-old former kabaddi player, was shot dead in Shamli district on Saturday morning.

The body was found in a sugarcane field along the canal embankment in Nala village under Kandhla police station limits.

He had left home around 5 am to pick up labourers for agricultural work and is suspected to have been in a scuffle before being shot.

Superintendent of police NP Singh confirmed an FIR has been registered and teams from SWAT, surveillance cell, and Kandhla police station are investigating.
