Apple may add cameras to AirPods to enhance Siri

Apple's camera-equipped AirPods Ultra may debut as early as next month, per Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The earbuds, codenamed B790, were found referenced in iOS 27, suggesting software support is in progress.

The low-resolution cameras are not for photos or videos but to help Siri understand the user's surroundings.

Siri could identify landmarks, objects, or food items when users ask, based on the Bloomberg report.

Apple has developed multiple versions internally; B798 was previously expected in 2027, but B790 is further along.
