Karnataka: HD Kumaraswamy's HMT Watch Features Mother Chennamma's Photograph

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy wore a customised HMT watch featuring his late mother Chennamma's photograph during her 11-day memorial ceremony in Holenarasipur taluk, Hassan district.

He urged HMT employees and stakeholders to actively promote and market HMT watches, saying the organisation has potential to expand and regain prominence.

The memorial ceremony at Chennamma's Samadhi near Mavinakere Hill drew over 1.5 lakh attendees.

Preparations were overseen by HD Kumaraswamy, MLA HD Revanna, and former PM HD Deve Gowda, with 16 German tents each seating 1,500 people installed for meals.
