NASA astronaut Chris Williams spent 241 days circling Earth before finally returning home

NASA astronaut Chris Williams returned to Earth after 241 days in orbit, completing 3,856 orbits and traveling over 102 million miles.

Williams landed in Kazakhstan with Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev aboard the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft.

The mission included two spacewalks and scientific research aimed at developing new cancer treatments and improving material production.

Launch occurred on November 27, 2025; landing was southeast of Dzhezkazgan after undocking from the station’s Rassvet module.

The flight was the first spaceflight for Chris Williams and Sergei Mikaev, and the second for Sergey Kud-Sverchkov.
