Stock Market Closing Bell: Sensex Drops 715 Points as Nifty Closes Below 24,000 Mark

BSE Sensex dropped 715.06 points (0.92%) to close at 76,755.05.

NSE Nifty 50 fell 191.45 points (0.79%) to settle at 23,996.25, below the 24,000 mark.

Selling pressure was driven by geopolitical conflicts in West Asia and US tariff proposals on generic drugs.

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) dropped 3.40%, State Bank of India fell 2.07%, and Infosys declined 2.38%.

Bajaj Auto rose 5.37% on strong Q1 earnings, while Nestlé India gained 2.38% after a 48% net profit jump.
