Shetty defended viewers of Vijay's film 'Jana Nayagan' after some protest attendees called them 'jokers'.

Shetty questioned the label, noting she also watched the film, and referenced filmmaker Vetrimaaran to argue for freedom of expression.

Shetty accused protest organizers of having a political agenda and said her microphone was taken away, preventing her from completing her speech.
