Netanyahu hails India ties, calls Modi 'friend'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is investing heavily in ties with India, calling PM Narendra Modi 'one of our greatest friends'.

Netanyahu made the remarks in a podcast interview shared on Monday, countering US VP JD Vance's claim that the US is Israel's 'only powerful ally'.

He said support for Israel in India is 'unbelievable', citing overwhelming support on social media there.

Netanyahu previously told Fox News that Israel enjoys 'tremendous' support in India, a country with 1.4 billion people.
