CM unveils mascot for Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship

Chief minister Rekha Gupta unveiled 'Mayur' as the official mascot for the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2026.

The championship will be held at Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi from July 27 to August 2, 2026.

Sportspersons from 25 Commonwealth countries are expected to participate.

The mascot is inspired by India's national bird (peacock), symbolizing confidence and cultural heritage.

Delhi is developing five Centres of Excellence for sports including swimming, athletics, wrestling, and table tennis.
