Police probe sought over viral MHT-CET score videos

The Maharashtra State CET cell filed a complaint with Azad Maidan police and state cyber police over viral MHT-CET videos questioning MHT-CET results and the engineering merit list.
The videos claim students with low Class 12 PCM marks secured 99 or 100 percentile in MHT-CET; one alleges high scores achievable by paying money and choosing specific exam centres.
The provisional engineering merit list shows 202 candidates scored above 97 percentile in MHT-CET despite less than 50% in Class 12 PCM, including two with 100 percentile.
CET cell commissioner Dilip Sardesai said the videos' data is incomplete; direct comparison between Class 12 marks and MHT-CET is inappropriate due to different syllabi and evaluation methods.
Analysis showed only 2 students with 40-50% PCM marks secured 100 percentile, and 61 with that range scored between 99-100 percentile, indicating a small number of outliers.
