Thoothukudi fishermen halt fishing for 'Our Lady of Snows' festival

Mechanised boat fishermen in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, have suspended fishing for three days.

The suspension is to participate in the 444th annual 'Our Lady of Snows Basilica' festival.

Hundreds of mechanised fishing boats have been anchored along the shore.

Separately, fishermen in Rameswaram are protesting over construction.
