Karnataka seeks Centre's nod for HAL airport reopening, funds for STRR, Bengaluru suburban rail

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar sought the Centre's approval to reopen the HAL airport in Bengaluru.

The state requested funds for the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) and Bengaluru suburban rail projects.

At an all-party meeting in New Delhi, Shivakumar urged Karnataka MPs to jointly press the Centre to clear 13 pending proposals.

The state also demanded the release of Rs 2,186 crore in Finance Commission grants.
