75 meetings, over 2,000 complaints resolved: BDA’s open house delivers
Bangalore Development Authority's Open House Meeting initiative resolved 2,206 of 3,092 grievances heard across 75 meetings as of June 30, 2026.
West zone recorded the highest number of grievance registrations at 2,228, followed by North (1,588), South (1,312), and East (701).
Grievances include allotment of alternate sites, duplicate site allocations, undated allotments, and decades-old layout discrepancies.
BDA chairman NA Haris said the platform ensures transparency and curbs corruption, allowing citizens to return to meetings via helpline if grievances remain unresolved.
Citizens appreciated direct officer access and videoconferencing but noted policy-level issues like BDA jurisdiction in GBA areas and EWS reservation cancellation remain unresolved.
