Maharashtra Govt Launches State-Level Workshop To Strengthen Menopause, PCOS Healthcare

Maharashtra Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Meghna Sakore-Bordikar inaugurated a state-level workshop in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to strengthen healthcare for menopause and PCOS.

The workshop is jointly organised by the Deputy Director of Health Services, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and UNICEF.

It trains gynaecologists, medical officers, healthcare workers, and medical students in diagnosis, treatment, counselling, and modern care for menopause and PCOS.

Health experts noted that changing lifestyles, unhealthy diets, lack of physical activity, and rising stress are increasing PCOS cases.

The programme aims to improve women's healthcare quality and provide more comprehensive, accessible care across Maharashtra.
