SC clears India’s first night safari project at Lucknow’s Kukrail forest

Supreme Court cleared India’s first night safari project at Lucknow’s Kukrail reserve forest.
The court directed Uttar Pradesh to comply with conditions from statutory authorities and obtain prior clearances before starting work.
The approval followed conditional clearance from the Central Empowered Committee (CEC).
The Uttar Pradesh government had already obtained approval from the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) and the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
India’s night safari will be the fifth such venture globally, after Singapore, China, Thailand, and Indonesia.
