Jhundan backs Waris Punjab De, expelled from SAD (Punar Surjit) for 6 years

Senior SAD (Punar Surjit) leader Iqbal Singh Jhundan and 15 others announced unconditional support to Shiromani Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De).

SAD (Punar Surjit) expelled Jhundan from primary membership for six years for anti-party activities.

Party general secretary Gurpratap Singh Wadala accused Jhundan of convening unauthorised meetings and attempting to create divisions.

Dakha MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali and former minister Surjit Singh Rakhra had previously aligned with Waris Punjab De and AAP respectively.

Waris Punjab De aims to build a drug-free Punjab and promote communal harmony, according to Tarsem Singh.
