Chandigarh: EAC delve on developing tri-language glossary on AI and machine learning

  1. Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) concluded a six-day meeting at Panjab University (PU) for a trilingual (English-Hindi-Punjabi) glossary on AI and machine learning (ML).

  2. The glossary comprises nearly 4,500 technical terms, finalized after examining conceptual accuracy, linguistic suitability, and technical precision.

  3. The meeting was organized by the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT), Ministry of Education, and hosted by the School of Punjabi Studies, PU from July 20 to 25, 2026.

  4. CSTT assistant director Deepak Kumar reiterated the commission’s commitment to standardizing scientific terminology in Indian languages.

  5. Senior faculty Uma Sethi noted the glossary will strengthen technical education, translation, and research in Punjabi.
