Flash flood warnings issued for parts of New York

Flash flood warnings were issued for most of central Queens and northern Brooklyn until 3:30 pm, and parts of Brooklyn until 2 pm.

A flood advisory was issued for the Bronx through 3:30 pm, with expected rainfall of 0.5 to 1 inch.

The Clearview Expressway in Queens was closed in both directions at Northern Boulevard due to flooding.

LaGuardia Airport warned of flight disruptions due to adverse weather, advising travelers to check with airlines.

Flash flood warnings also covered Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Eastern Passaic, and Union counties in northern New Jersey.
