Sharmila Dhankar won India's first-ever para-athletics gold in the women's F57 shot put with a season-best throw of 9.81m at the Commonwealth Games.

Sarvesh Kushare became the first Indian to win a silver medal in the men's high jump, clearing 2.25m.

Weightlifters Valluri Ajaya Babu and Gyaneshwari Yadav won silver in men's 79kg and women's 53kg, while Bindyarani Devi added bronze in women's 58kg.
