Nalasopara man loses ₹7.38 lakh to fake Russian Facebook friend

A 56-year-old man from Nalasopara was duped of ₹7.38 lakh by a fake Facebook friend pretending to be a Russian woman.

The fraudster won the victim's trust through social media and then demanded money for various reasons.

The incident was reported to the Palghar police, who registered a case of cyber fraud.
