MeitY to expand trusted semiconductor supply chain push beyond CCTV cameras: IT secretary S Krishnan

MeitY plans to expand its trusted semiconductor supply chain push beyond CCTV cameras to other sensitive sectors under ISM 2.0.

IT Secretary S Krishnan stated that security considerations around CCTV cameras have already spurred domestic chip design capabilities.

The government aims to extend this approach to enhance security in additional sensitive sectors.

The initiative falls under the Information Security Management (ISM) 2.0 framework.
