21 suspected illegal Bangladeshis detained in Ramban

Jammu and Kashmir Police detained 21 suspected illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from Banihal, Ramban district, on Saturday.

The group, including three women and seven minor children, was found without valid travel or immigration documents during a verification drive.

An FIR under Sections 3 and 21 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, was registered at Banihal police station.

The detained will be shifted to Hiranagar sub-jail in Kathua district, which also holds around 275 Rohingyas.

The suspects allegedly entered India illegally without valid passports or visas, as revealed through an interpreter.
