Banke Behari temple: Panel managing temple mulls enhancing time of Darshan

The Supreme Court-constituted high powered committee for Banke Behari Temple, Mathura, is considering enhancing Darshan timing to ease crowd pressure.

The committee is in consultation with the Goswami community, who manage temple rituals, regarding the proposed extension of Darshan hours.

Committee chairperson Ashok Kumar said long queues form from 5 am while the temple opens at 7 am, and extending hours would help more devotees have Darshan.

The 18th monthly meeting also revealed a donation collection of ₹3.90 crore and ongoing execution of sale deeds for the Banke Behari Corridor at Vrindavan.
