Forum demands action against private vehicles transporting schoolchildren

Dakshina Kannada District Schoolchildren’s Vehicle Drivers’ Association protested at Clock Tower in Mangaluru against private vehicles illegally ferrying schoolchildren.

Association honorary president Sunil Kumar Bajal alleged police have turned a blind eye despite memorandums submitted.

Dakshina Kannada District Taximen’s Association president Ananda said transport officials failed to act against drivers violating rules.

General secretary Rehman Khan Kunjathbail warned of intensive agitations if strict action is not taken.

A delegation later submitted a memorandum to RTO officials, city police commissioner, and Dakshina Kannada DC.
