After fee hike protest, COEP assures panel to examine students’ demands

  1. Students of COEP Technological University suspended their protest after university assured to discuss fee hike with state government.

  2. Protest by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Pune demanded immediate rollback of revised fee structure.

  3. Registrar D N Sonawane said discussions with state government on fee structure are underway, and a university-level committee will examine students' demands.

  4. Students demanded fee cap of 10% on annual revisions per AICTE norms, disclosure of basis, concessions for economically weaker students, and improved hostel and campus facilities.

  5. ABVP Pune secretary Radheya Bahegawankar said any fee increase should be limited to 10% as per AICTE norms.
