Chaayos, Barbeque Nation among 41 restaurants facing CCPA action over service charge

CCPA has initiated action against 41 restaurants including Chaayos and Barbeque Nation over service charge practice.

The ministry reiterated that hotels and restaurants cannot add service charges automatically or by default.

Consumer Affairs Ministry is enforcing rules to ensure service charges are voluntary and not forced on customers.
