1,290 applied for startup internship, none hired yet

Ramesh Ravishankar, co-founder and chief go-to-market officer at Highperformr.ai, reported 1,290 applications for internship openings.

Only 83 attempted the assessment, 23 cleared it, 10 moved to interviews, and none cleared interviews.

Ravishankar noted candidates skipped interviews, declined after learning relocation was required, or stopped responding.

He criticized young professionals for prioritizing titles and personal branding over developing skills and consistent effort.
