Empty luxury villas left after $200 million Disney castle project

Over 500 Disney-style castles were built for $200 million in a luxury village called Burj Al Babas near Mudurnu, Turkey.

The project by Turkish developer Sarot Group planned 732 villas but stopped in 2018 due to financial trouble.

Turkey's economic slowdown, currency instability, and declining foreign investor demand caused the project's collapse.

Hundreds of villas remained incomplete and never occupied, leaving the site a ghost town.
