Shreyas Iyer's India earn direct entry into Asian Games quarter-finals, Pakistan clash only possible in final

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka get direct entry into the quarter-finals of the men's cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games.

India and Pakistan can only meet in the final; India would face either Bangladesh or China in the semi-finals, Pakistan could face Sri Lanka.

The men's tournament runs September 24 to October 1 with 10 teams; four seeded teams join after a preliminary round.

The women's competition starts September 17 with quarter-finals; India opens against Japan.

All cricket matches are T20 format and will be held in Nagoya, Japan; India are defending champions in both men's and women's events.
