Silk Board junction in Bengaluru gets a makeover by 125 volunteers

volunteers cleaned and beautified Silk Board junction in Bengaluru.

Volunteers cleared garbage, repainted flyover pillars in purple, and constructed a 100-metre-long footpath.

The footpath connects Central Silk Board Metro Station to the junction, filling a missing pedestrian link.

The drive was organized under GBA’s Clean Bengaluru and Safe Footpaths campaigns, by CGI, Bengaluru South City Corporation, and India Rising Trust.

Aniruddha Abhyankar called the junction one of the city's most challenging public spaces.
