'Make international legal structure more democratic': Jaishankar

External affairs minister S Jaishankar said the international legal architecture must be more democratic, inclusive and sensitive to the realities of the Global South.

He spoke at the 60th anniversary of UNCITRAL, noting that international law development cannot remain insulated amid geopolitical volatility and supply chain disruptions.

Jaishankar called for choking terror financing and ensuring safe international shipping lanes at an ASEAN meet in Manila.
