DU preps to welcome freshers with ease: Anti-ragging control rooms, peer support programmes proposed

Delhi University will operate two anti-ragging control rooms on North and South Campus from July 28 to August 7.

The new academic session of DU begins on July 28, 2026.

Lady Shri Ram College introduces a peer support programme pairing each fresher with a faculty mentor and two to three senior student mentors.

LSR will distribute handbooks on Day 2 with anti-ragging committee member names and helpline numbers.

Ramjas College student Anisha created a WhatsApp group "Your friends not seniors" for freshers.
