'Dhurandhar' composer Shashwat Sachdev recalls wife's support, living in 1 BHK apartment

Composer Shashwat Sachdev credits his parents for dedicating their resources to his music education, including training in Hindustani classical music from age three under Ustad Ramzan Khan and formal Western classical piano.

Sachdev's sister stopped learning music when he was 11-13 so he could continue training with their guru, a sacrifice he acknowledges.

Sachdev moved to Mumbai in 2017, where he and his wife Magic lived in a small one-bedroom apartment; he states she has worked as hard as he has and takes her critique seriously.

Sachdev believes his success is guided by a divine energy, saying it would be egotistical to claim he did it all alone.

His recent works include composing for films like Dhurandhar, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Veere Di Wedding, and Article 370.
