Ludhiana: Three-year-old seeing off sister crushed to death by school bus

Three-year-old Samardeep Singh was run over and killed by a school bus at Salu Bhaini village, Koom Kalan, Ludhiana.

The bus was operating without an attendant, violating the Safe School Vahan Policy, according to the victim's father.

The driver, Navdeep Singh of Garcha village, allegedly attempted to flee with children onboard but was apprehended by villagers.

An FIR was registered against driver Navdeep Singh and BITS International Convent School management; the driver was arrested.

The toddler was accompanying his mother, Amandeep Kaur, to see off his sister, Ramandeep Kaur, when the bus moved forward without warning.
