EC extends deadline for voter verification exercise in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana

The Election Commission extended the deadline for the special intensive revision (SIR) exercise in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.

Booth level officers can now conduct house-to-house visits until July 24 to collect enumeration forms, 10 extra days from the original deadline.

The draft roll for Andhra Pradesh and Haryana will be published on July 31 instead of July 21.

Claims and objections can be filed from July 31 to August 30, and the final roll will be released on October 3.

SIR Phase 3 is ongoing in 16 states and three Union territories.
