Police, SDRF rescue 2 trapped in Tawi river; Army launches relief ops in Reasi, Rajouri

J&K Police and SDRF rescued two individuals stranded in the Tawi river near Prambli in Jammu’s Phallian mandal after a sudden rise in water level.

The two rescued persons were Farman Ali (25) from Allora and Farooq Ahmed (28) of Sohanjana, who had gone to graze cattle.

The Army launched relief and evacuation operations in rain-hit Reasi and Rajouri districts, assisting civilians in low-lying areas to move to safer locations.

Army personnel provided emergency medical aid to a civilian with severe dehydration in Panjnara-Peeri area of Rajouri, including intravenous fluids and evacuation for further care.

Multi-agency operations continued to trace seven missing people in Murrah, Chang Nallah in Poonch’s Surankote, and a missing Jal Shakti department employee.
