Disney layoffs: Hundreds of jobs cut across Pixar, ESPN and National Geographic

The Walt Disney Company is cutting several hundred jobs across Pixar, National Geographic, ESPN, and other divisions.

Nearly 100 jobs are being cut at Disney Entertainment Television, mostly at National Geographic, including cable channel, editorial, and operations staff.

Pixar is cutting jobs across production and operations, expected to affect around or fewer than 100 employees, its second major layoff in recent years.

ESPN is cutting jobs partly due to its acquisition of NFL Network assets, with behind-the-scenes roles affected and on-air personalities like Karl Ravech and Ryan Clark departing.

CEO Josh D'Amaro continues the restructuring, with layoffs at Disney Studios and other business units also confirmed.
