Gurugram gets Haryana’s first live display of pending traffic challans

Gurugram traffic police installed Haryana's first real-time traffic violation display system at Sohna Chowk.

The LED board uses ANPR cameras and the e-challan database to display pending fines and violations for passing vehicles.

It shows the number of violations and fine amount within seconds, or 'No Challan' for vehicles with no pending fines.

The system is part of a CSR project supported by private automobile firms and is currently on trial.

Officials plan to expand the system to multiple locations if the trial succeeds.
