Jamshedpur FC pulls out of ISL hours after missing participation fee payment deadline

Jamshedpur FC announced withdrawal from the Indian Super League (ISL) hours after missing the deadline to pay participation fee.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) set a July 20 deadline for payment of ₹1.1 crore, later extended to Friday evening.

The club stated it will not participate in ISL from 2026-27 season onwards; its board decided to wind up the first team.

All remaining 13 clubs, including Inter Kashi, have paid the fee; AIFF will decide on Saturday whether to proceed with 13 clubs.

Jamshedpur FC said it will continue promoting football at grassroots and developing young talent in India.
