Pakistan's first female CWG boxing medallist credits Mary Kom for inspiring her
Fatima Zahra, 22, from Sargodha in Pakistan's Punjab province, became Pakistan's first female Commonwealth Games boxing medallist by winning bronze in the women's 60kg event in Glasgow.
Zahra credits India's six-time world champion Mary Kom as her inspiration, saying she watched the 2014 Bollywood film on Kom's life and trained while watching it.
Zahra overcame family opposition to pursue boxing, noting that her family initially did not allow her to train but now are more tense than her during fights.
Zahra hopes her medal will encourage more girls in Pakistan to take up sport and follow their dreams.
