Haryana intensifies crackdown on spurious drugs, FDA records 16 arrests in 10 months

Haryana FDA recorded 16 arrests in counterfeit drug cases in 10 months under Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.

FDA Gurugram made 12 arrests, busted interstate counterfeit medicine syndicates, seized fake medicines worth ₹70 lakh, and recovered 323 allopathic medicine varieties from illegal premises.

In April 2026, FDA Gurugram busted a counterfeit Mounjaro injection racket, seizing injections worth ₹70 lakh and arresting Avi Sharma and Mujaamil Khan.

FDA dismantled an interstate counterfeit Telma-AM tablet network, tracing supply to an unlicensed Delhi wholesale establishment and arresting Suvrat and Zubeir.
